We know joining a new activity is a big decision for your family. Here are clear answers to what most parents ask before taking the first step on the trail.
We understand families are busy. Most months include two pack meetings and one weekend outdoor activity. Parent involvement is encouraged but highly flexible based on your schedule.
Absolutely. We welcome children from all backgrounds and abilities. Our pack is committed to creating a safe, inclusive environment where every scout can thrive and belong.
Initial uniform costs run about $75-$100. We also have a 'uniform closet' with gently used gear to help families. Many of our camping trips require only basic gear you might already own.
Not at all! Many of our parents and scouts are completely new to the program. We provide all the training and guidance you'll need to feel right at home.
Yes! We encourage prospective families to attend one of our upcoming pack meetings or events to meet the leaders and see if our pack is a good fit for you.
Volunteering with Pack 1138 is a deeply rewarding experience that allows you to share unforgettable moments with your child while guiding the next generation of scouts. You don't need any prior scouting experience to lead—just a willingness to help, learn, and embark on new adventures. We provide all the training and resources you need to succeed.
